What People Say:

Private Instruction

I am available for private lessons through teleconferencing platforms (Zoom, Facebook Live, etc.) as well as limited in-person lessons. Please contact me to discuss your needs and to see if there is room in my schedule.

In the past, I have been available for private instruction for individuals, couples, and groups: for celebrating a birthday with a private class for friends, learning the basics of yoga with focused, individualized attention, or giving employees tools for reducing workplace stress.

"Stephanie has the gift of explaining the various yoga poses simply and clearly. She communicates not only the shape of the pose, but its effect on our physical and spiritual well being. This is particularly apparent in her Restorative Yoga class. It is truly amazing!" —Yolanda D.

"I hired Stephanie as a private yoga instructor & I can't say enough about what a wonderful decision this was. I have tried yoga classes in the past & have always struggled to keep up. Stephanie has been so patient & has explained everything so well. I finally feel like I understand things & am making progress as I never did before. I highly recommend Stephanie for whatever experience level." —Meredith H.

"Your class truly transformed me in so many ways ... your patience, clear instruction, and accepting nature really made me feel like I had a safe place to try things I thought I couldn't do (crow pose!).  I tend to be hard on myself and place barriers in my own path.  By attending your classes, I realized how to relax, reflect, breathe ... and try.  With no expectations.  Thank you for helping me grow.  The lessons you shared live within me." —Christine E.

"I love how every class is a little different, she works different body parts and keeps it interesting.  I always leave Stephanie's class feeling stronger and calmer." —Carol F.

About Me

I've been a student of yoga since 2002, and a certified and registered teacher since April of 2011.  I was certified in Integral Yoga (RYT-200) at Holy Cow Yoga of Charleston, South Carolina, under the direction of Trace Bonner.

My teaching philosophy is that yoga is for every body; that yoga can calm the mind, heal the body, and lift the spirit.  I encourage my students to find their own personal practice, even if that means not doing a particular pose or sequence.  My classes offer multiple options for various skill and experience levels, and the mood is light and non-judgmental.  I specialize in teaching Beginners, Basics, Gentle, and Restorative (the yoga of deep relaxation), and I have experience in Kripalu, Dharma Mittra, Anusara, Jivamukti, Yin, and other styles of yoga as well.

Yoga has been such a gift to me ... I would love to bring that gift to you!  Please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns.
